I was lucky enough recently to interview two amazing women who have inspired the nation – albeit in really different ways. While speaking to Julia Gillard, Australia’s first female Deputy Prime Minister (look for that story in an upcoming issue) I couldn’t help thinking why it took Australia so long to elect a woman as out DPM. But then, it probably means we are not far off from getting a female PM. How incredible would that be? Then, I met the courageous and beautiful Lauren Huxley, 21. Lauren survived a vicious attack in her home, but that’s not why she’s so special. Her graciousness, sense of humour and gorgeous nature have made her someone to look up to and admire.
