40th party with nothing to wear.

Who cares if you are "dressed up"? Your a 20 year old female! Its what you're supposed to do. Go dress/top & skirt, heels and subtle sparkly jewelery, or bright chunky jewelery. Leave the sequins satin and sparkles at home so you don't look like you are going clubbing. Black is a safe colour, which is a plus if you're worried about dress code.

a nice dress with heels. everyone else will be dressed up even though it's at a pub. if you wear the dress with stockings or tights that will look more casual so you wont feel as dressed up.

different ideas as in you think jeans n top would be boring?
depends on a lot of things. i wouldnt wear anything too revealing if grandmas and older people would be there.
what do you usually wear out? maybe something plain like a simple shirt and shorts and then lots of diff jewellery if you want something different?
