  these are the most ridiculous self-centred reasons for why we love australia. Chocolate bars- beetroot on burgers- how stupid What about the freedom of speech, right to vote, the right to marry whoever you want, our health research and working to make this country perfect. This is what we celebrate on Australia day and if anyone thinks that they can just have a few drinks and think " well i love australia because of sass and bide" then thats just ridiculous.

  I just love these 26 things! I live in Europe, always eager to get to know other countries (especially far-away states), and it actually made me want to go to Australia and check out your wonderful land! Well done, ladies! :)

  Calm down, Pathetic, it was just a bit of fun, looking at the less serious, more fun side of it all. Geez! I totally agree with all of them. Very proud to be Australian.

  I'm a bit sad that Vegemite isn't on that list .... oh yeah, that's right they're now proudly owned by the Americans even though the rest of the world seems to think that Vegemite IS Australian. I personally 'hate' beetroot on burgers, but I do love the fact that after a 2 hour drive it 'is' easy to find a bit of quietness. :~)
