My fashion life began at the age of 16 when I was frustrated at high school and eager to get my teeth into fashion. After persuading my parents to let me leave school, I was accepted into the East Sydney Advanced Diploma of Fashion Design. After finishing I tried my luck at styling and got work experience at Cosmo. After four years I am now the Fashion Editor and I am constantly inspired by the ever-changing face of fashion!

Change in the air

This time of year means that a new season of fashion is piling up in our cupboards waiting to be shot for new and exciting stories! It always feels strange working on a season that is the opposite to what you are currently in, but that’s the way it works in the mag business. So whilst I’m leaping out the door in the morning wearing flats, shorts and a tee- I arrive at an office full of faux fur coats, knitwear and high boots. Strange feeling.

Because we are always working ahead of ourselves, it often means we can be prompted to dress ahead, filtering our wardrobes with elements of the new season trends way before they arrive in-stores. And this means that by the time the fashion actually arrives in stores, and by the time you are viewing it in the mag, us girls in the fashion department here are, well… bored.

This fashion world we live in is an ever-changnig, fickle one. And it’s a land of opposites - keeping us constantly inspired.
