Eleven dates, minus the cheese

Other websites have ten ideas...we've got eleven

Eleven cheese free dates

Do you yawn at the thought of your standard dinner-and-movie routine?  Bust out of a dating rut with these cute you-and-him plans.

Sex up a classic board game

Stay in and play a few rounds of cheeky chess.  Every time one of you takes a piece, the loser has to peel of an article of clothing.  Be warned though...things may get kind of, er, pawnographic.

Try extreme dating

Check out www.Adrenalin.com.au for heaps of get- physical activity ideas near you.  Pick something you know you’ll both love – like skydiving, abseiling or paintball – and you’ll share a new kind of rush.

Get your creative juices flowing

Grab some blank canvases and acrylic paints, and then spend a night painting portraits of each other.  (Tip: make things even more interesting by turning it into a nude life-drawing class).

Offer to house-sit for a friend

...or relative who’s heading out of town for a few days.  It’s fn to play house if you’re not living together already, and staying in unfamiliar places is kind of naughty (like having a dirty weekend at a hotel, minus the expensive mini bar and hefty room fee).

Indulge in some animal-friendly activities

If you’re both animal-lovers, try horse riding on the beach, penguin-watching, camel-riding or swimming with dolphins.  www.redballoondays.com.au has heaps of ideas for folks with animals instincts.

Take a tour of each others' pasts

Take a drive through the suburb/town where you or your boyfriend used to live.  Plant a sloppy one on him in the same spot you had your first-ever pash, take him to the place where you had your first ever date, or both of you hop onto the slippery dip in your childhood playground.

Take your bloke (and your bikini) out of town

Visit www.takeabreak.com.au/hoildays for affordable getaway ideas – you can even narrow you search through categories such as “last-minutes” or “pet-friendly.”

Pop into a luxe car dealership

Test-drive and outrageously expensive set of wheels (preferably a shiny convertible).

Channel Dancing with the Stars

...without the dodgy costumes!  Sign up for some dance classes and you’ll learn plenty of new ways to get your body in sync.  Check out www.dancenetwork.com.au to find one near you – they’ve got everything from salsa to square dancing.

Do something simple outside

Instead of bumming on the couch, move your TV outside, grab a blanket and have a moonlight flick-fest with your date and your favourite DVDs.

Reread Cosmo sealed sections

Turn your lounge room into a lusty library and pour over our raunchy ideas together.  Guaranteed to turn a rainy arvo into a steamy one...

Here Here.. Don't make it too complicated.. it's all about living your own life, sharing it with someone else and they the same as you. You don't need to be attached at the hip and doing everything together to be happy, it's all about the balance between you, what you want and what you as a couple want. You're never going to like everything the same, but I think the general idea is finding someone on your level to share it with !  Report thisReport this

I actually thought this article had some interesting ideas my georgeous boyfriend and I don't have a lot of money at the moment and some of the ideas were cool. However I do agree with panda your relationship should not be like the movies. My favourite thing to do with my b'friend is to get out in the sunshine and just walk around somewhere. Last weekend he took me to falkner Park and I had the most wonderful day enjoying his company the sunshine and the park.  Report thisReport this

I agree with Panda why are most of the articles about spending time with your partner all about having outrages sex or doing something extreme, why can't you give some ideas about simple things to do.  Report thisReport this
