Melinda's books and her tireless work with eating disorder charities, clinics and her talks at various schools have I am sure been of enormous help to those battling this disorder, and to their loved ones trying to understand it as well as providing an insight for those who may be tempted to go down this path. Her new book provides guidance and hope for sufferers. She is truly a remarkable youg woman and an inspiring role mode.

Melinda is a person to be greatly admired. Suffers of eating disorders are fortunate to be able to read her books and listen to her speaking as she is intensely passionate about helping those who have a need. There is a light at the end of the tunnel for sufferers of these disorders, and reading her three publications reinforces this. She is sympathetic, helpful and above all else so wanting to reach out and help in whatever way is possible.

I have heard Melinda speak and she has such an enthusiasm for her subject and a charisma which holds her audience. She has turned her personal struggle and recovery into a tool to help others and works selflessly for her cause. She would be a deserving winner.

Melinda has turned around the lives of so many people through her books and she has probably saved lives. She goes above and beyond as an author and her dedication to this disease and other eating disease is amazing. Melinda is 'woman of the year' in many eyes, especially mine
