Cosmo Q&A

Size does matter!

Sydney-based dietician Susie Burrell has a simple and resonant motto: "It's your food, your body and your life." True, it's our job to take care of our bodies, but sometimes it's hard to stay on the path to purity! Luckily, Susie's here to lend a healthy hand! Submit your questions below.

Question:

I read your response to the question about the average meal size for women. What about for men? I eat what you said to eat the whole day just for lunch! I’m not overweight. Does this mean men should eat more?

Answer:

You must be blessed with a great metabolism. On average men need to eat 2000kJ per day more than the average female and more if they are training regularly. You can rest assured that if you are not overweight - you are balancing out your food intake perfectly and do not need to worry.
