Is your car seat warming more than your butt?

Your heated car seat is keeping your tush warm, but it could also be frying your man's sperm.

A German study published in New Scientist magazine shows that the luxury extra could damage men's sperm count.

Sperm is best produced at 35.5º Celsius, but many European and Asian cars feature seats that raise the temperature of scrotums to 37.3º. Unheated car seats raise scrotum temperature to just 36.7º by comparison.

It's only a slight increase, but the study's lead author, Andreas Jung, says it could be enough to damage sperm production permanently.
