I have been trying to lose my tummy bulge by doing crunches but friends have said that it actually makes your stomach look even bigger as it builds muscle underneath the fat. is that true? if so what should i do first? from Kate

Answer:

Losing excessive body fat is the best thing you can do to help flatten your stomach. Aim for sessions for 45-60 minutes of fast walking, light jogging or cycling to really give yourself a great cardio workout and a better chance of burning excessive body fat.

  • When I was talking to my personal trainer she suggested some great moves from pilates to flatten my stomach. doing crunches is great, it can help tone your abs and so forth but you need to strenghten your inner muscles!

  • I've been doing the fast walking for an hour a day for two years. My legs are nicely toned, but I still have the poodge.
