Ariana Grande is setting the record straight. Like many A-listers, throughout her lengthy career, the star has been subject to ongoing speculation she has had plastic surgery.
From talk of a rhinoplasty to whispers of a breast augmentation, babble about what Ariana had or hadn’t had done has plagued social media for years. Now, the star has spoken out—while hooked up to a lie detector test, no less—to deny some reports and confirm others.
Ariana Grande On Plastic Surgery
Alongside Cynthia Erivo—who plays the Elphaba to her Glinda in the upcoming Wicked film—Ariana took part in one of Vanity Fair’s (in)famous lie detector test videos. In the 21-minute clip, the duo took turns asking each other some of the public’s big queries. One such question that Cynthia asked Ariana was, “Did you ever get any work done to make yourself feel more popular?”
Ariana clarified, “To my face? To physical appearance?”
Cynthia confirms, following up by asking,”Did you get your nose done?” Ariana responded with a certain,”No.”
Cynthia then asked if her co-star had a “boob job,” to which Ariana replied,”No! Could you imagine?!”
The Tony-winner followed up with a Q about a face lift, which Ariana candidly answered with, “No, not yet… I’m open!”
The lie detector deemed that Ariana was telling the truth!
“This is the best day of my life! Take that you YouTube people,” the multi-hyphenate joked, clapping back at the internet conspiracy theorists who have poked at her appearance.
Cynthia had a few follow-up questions, including whether Ariana had a fox eye lift.
“No!” the star said, adding “But I discovered it through people who thought I did, and I said ‘thank you’.”
“What about a chin implant?” asked Cynthia.
“How do they do that?” Ariana responded. “No!”
Once again, the lie detector deemed her candid.

Ariana Grande Says She Has Had Filler & Botox
After shutting down rumours she had plastic surgery, Ariana opened up about why the public may think her appearance has changed over the years.
“I’ve had fillers in various places and botox,” she confirmed. “But I stopped like four years ago and that is the extent.”
She continued, “But also, like—in full support of all people who do these things—Whatever makes women, men, non-gender conforming people feel beautiful should be allowed! Why do people care?”
And isn’t that the truth!
