She may be the youngest of the Kar-Jenner clan but Kylie Jenner is the family’s beauty queen. The reality star-turned-mogul launched her business, Kylie Cosmetics in 2015 and was met with instant success, with the debut product, the Kylie Lip Kit, selling out in under a minute.

This result was unsurprising, given the star was already an online beauty muse. At the time, she was in her King Kylie era, which had followers around the world copying her signature glam makeup looks and dip-dyed teal hair. Kylie recently nodded to this phase on Instagram, sharing a series of pics of her new blue locks.

For non-Millennial fans who may not understand why this was such a big deal; the teal hair was Kylie’s whole thing back in 2015. It was what made her the edgier sister and started the trend of her toying with various fun hair colours and wigs.

Kylie used this reputation as a Tumblr trend setter as a springboard to launch her brand. Since, her approach to makeup has most certainly changed, but she’s continued to serve us looks none the less.

Feeling nostalgic? Take a look back at Jenner’s beauty evolution—from a fresh-faced teen to fully-fledged beauty industry titan—ahead.
