Trinny Woodall isn’t a stranger to the world of beauty, in fact, she’s been reshaping it for over two decades. The business mogul, makeover queen, and founder of Trinny London has made it her mission to help women feel confident at every stage of life and she’s not slowing down anytime soon.
If you’re yet to come across the brand’s bubbly social media, bright yellow branding, or signature stackable packaging; its beat is all about simplifying beauty and empowering people to feel fabulous, no matter their age. What started as a passion project for Trinny quickly grew into a global beauty empire which now reaches millions of women in over 180 countries.
The brand’s latest innovation? The Trinity: a clever two-in-one complexion stick designed to make your makeup routine effortless and beautiful. Cosmopolitan Australia caught up with Trinny to chat about the launch, her beauty philosophies, and the skincare wisdom she swears by.

The best part about running Trinny London is...
When I was younger, I always knew I loved making over women. At any age, we all go through moments of uncertainty, and I want Trinny London to be the brand that shows up for you during those moments.
I was inspired to create The Trinity because...
I wanted something that was easy. We do easy really well. I also wanted a beautiful finish that works when I don’t have the time. We have our pots and stacks, but I thought, how can I make it even easier? I wanted to create a quick and simple way to get that polished makeup look. The Trinity’s three shades work for everyone and let you make an effort without feeling like it’s an effort.
My next goal for Trinny London is...
Two things. We’ve already reached 1.6 million women, but our mission is to empower 10 million over the next three years. I want people to feel the impact that Trinny London brings to their lives. I’ve learned that age is irrelevant, it’s about the energy you bring into a room. If we can help change the language of beauty, that would be a huge achievement. I know we make great products, but changing the conversation? That’s the dream.
My proudest achievement is...
My daughter. For a long time, I didn’t think I’d have her. Some women choose not to be mothers, others face challenges conceiving. I was in that in-between, wondering: Do I want this? Can I be a mum? When I realised I did want it, and then it happened, it became my proudest moment.
My skincare non-negotiables are...
Four things — okay, maybe five!
- Cleansing — always double cleanse.
- Vitamin C — especially in your 20s. It’s a must.
- Exfoliation — but the right kind. Not all acids are for everyone, so find what works for your skin. Gentle, daily exfoliation helps everything else – retinol, serum, moisturiser work better.
- SPF 50 — if you wear a good SPF daily, you don’t need much else.
Bonus: Retinoids — if I could sneak in one more essential, it would be that.
Advice I would give to an aspiring beauty founder is…
I believe every experience teaches us something. Even difficult ones. Regret is such a draining place to live, I prefer to look forward.
