News of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s divorce only broke on August 21, and it took all but a week for one half of Bennifer to be linked to a new flame.
On August 24, Page Six reported that Ben had been “spending time” with 36-year-old Kick Kennedy since late spring, but did not clarify the nature of the relationship. Two days later, People tried to verify the reports. While one source said, “Kick and Ben have been spending time together, but I’m not sure what’s happening,” and “Kick’s celeb crush has always been Ben,” another insider insisted, “I don’t think they even know each other. There’s definitely nothing going on.”
Confused? Not to worry because the following day, Ben’s representative entered the chat.
In a bit of LOL twist, Jen Allen, Ben’s spokesperson, put the speculation to bed. “There is no truth to any of it. I don’t know if they even know each other,” she said in a statement obtained by People.

Who Is Kick Kennedy?
While the reports she was dating Ben Affleck have proven false, the tabloid whirlwind has drawn attention to Kathleen Alexandra “Kick” Kennedy.
Kick is one of the six children of controversial politician and former presidential hopeful, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (known as RFK Jr.). So yes, she is part of the famous Kennedy family—aka the embodiment of TikTok’s glam Old Money aesthetic. Kick is RFK’s second-oldest child, and she and her older brother, Robert Francis “Bobby” Kennedy III, share RFK Jr. and Emily Ruth Black as parents.
After studying theatre at Stanford, Kick worked as an actor a period. She had roles in The Newsroom andFear and Loathing in Aspen, and even made a cameo as herself in a 2010 Gossip Girl episode.
She then pivoted and has since been focusing on philanthropy and activism, with a particular focus on environmentalism. She is a member of the Founders’ Circle of Well Beings Charity, an animal welfare and environmental organisation.
