A year after the two were romantically linked, Dua was spotted sporting a stunning diamond ring on a certain finger.
In an interview with British Vogue published on June 12, Dua confirmed that yes, she is engaged.
“Yeah, we’re engaged…It’s very exciting,” she told the magazine, adding that Callum had the ring made for her after consulting her best friends and her sister. “I’m obsessed with it. It’s so me. It’s nice to know the person that you’re going to spend the rest of your life with knows you very well,” Dua added.
The star also noted that she and Callum aren’t rushing to the altar. Dua said: “I want to finish my tour, Callum’s shooting, so we’re just enjoying this period. I’ve never been someone who’s really thought about a wedding, or dreamt about what kind of bride I would be. All of a sudden I’m like: ‘Oh, what would I wear?’”
The confirmation comes months after the pair were first rumoured to be engaged.
Speculation that the couple is engaged sparked on Christmas Eve after Dua posted pics of herself on Instagram wearing a shiny diamond ring on that finger — you know… the one synonymous with marriage. On December 27, the singer posted another carousel of intriguing pics wearing a different sparkling diamond ring.
The following day, she posted a cute picture of herself wrapped around Callum who can be seen in the image smiling ear-to-ear. The gorgeous couple wore coordinating black leather outfits and she captioned the post, “tooooooooo much fun ✨❤️🔥.” Additionally, on December 28, she wrote under another post that 2024 “TWAS’ THE BEST YEAR YET!!!!! DREAMS ON DREAMS ON DREAMS COME TRUE!!! READY FOR 2025!!! GAAAAAAAAAH.”
Who Is Callum Turner?
Sitting pretty as one of the world’s most streamed artists — boasting 28 awards from 103 musical nominations — Dua is a household name. While her handsome English beau is a well-respected actor in his own right, he might not be quite as familiar so it’s time to get to know him!
Born in 1990 in London, England, Callum Turner grew up in Chelsea and initially began his career as a model after being scouted at 17 years of age. He booked his first campaign in 2010 and worked for companies like Burberry, Reebok and Next plc.
He pivoted out of the modelling industry into acting in 2011, telling The Sunday Times that his mother instilled in him a love of film, and gave him the impetus to attempt acting as a career. Before acting, Callum also played semi-professionally for Fisher Athletic FC and worked in retail. Talk about a diverse resumé!
After accumulating experience acting in over 20 small-scale films and TV series, fast forward to 2020 when Callum gained major recognition after starring alongside Mia Goth and Anya Taylor-Joy in the movie adaption of Jane Austen’s Emma.
