If you haven’t been up on the latest from Celebrity Big Brother UK, then following news may come as a bit of a shock, *particularly* when we consider just how loved-up we last saw these two: Kath Ebbs and Jojo Siwa have called it quits.
Off the back of the JoJo’s exit from the Big Brother house, Kath, who is non-binary, has taken to social media to reveal they were dumped by the singer right after the shows finale a few days ago. Kath shared a video a few days ago in which they explained the sad relationship update and how it went down.
Especially if you have been keeping up with CBBUK clips on TikTok, you may be wondering why the name of JoJo’s fellow housemate, Chris Hughes, is being thrown around a lot online, too. Well, in a joint interview with Chris, the singer just addressed the split for the first time and opened up about what’s going on.
Who Is Kath Ebbs?
Kath is an Australian actor, content creator, DJ, podcaster and presenter (aka a creative multi-hyphenate).
You might recognise them from ABC’s The Drum, where they are a regular panellist; from your social media feed, where they post about fashion, movement, lifestyle and activism; or even from one of the country’s favourite TV shows.
In 2022, Kath made history when they appeared on Neighbours as Asher Nesmith, the first non-binary character to appear on the Aussie soap.
Kath Ebbs & Jojo Siwa's Relationship
The musician and Australian multi-hyphenate were first linked in November 2024, and really set the rumour mill in motion the following month, when Kath posted a TikTok video of Jojo alongside the satirical text: “Asking this random girl I met on Hinge what our ‘status’ is”.
In an interview with PedestrianTV, Kath revealed that they and Jojo met through Aussie muso G Flip—”Which is the gayest thing ever,” they added.
“[Jojo and G Flip are] really good friends, and one night we just all went and hung out,” Kath told the publication. “Then me and Jo were friends for like, six months after that.”
Kath revealed that the pair’s connection turned romantic “‘cos we would go line dancing together all the time!”
Kath and Jojo kept their relationship relatively private and, save for the occasional Instagram selfie, haven’t said *too* much about each other online.
In the same Pedestrian interview, Kath got candid about their girlfriend, though. She told the outlet: “I’ve never had such an emotional connection. Obviously she’s objectively beautiful, but it was just like such an intense emotional connection.”
Jojo officially hard-launched their relationship on January 21, captioning a series of Instagram snaps (including a selfie of the pair), “Photos from my girlfriends camera roll.” Kath followed up a day later with a post of their own: three snaps of them and Jojo with the caption, “Bit of queer joy for ya feed today!!

Are JoJo And Kath Still Together?
Kath took to instagram yesterday, announcing that JoJo broke up with them at a Big Brother after-party on Friday, April 18, 2025. They explained in a video posted to their instagram that they attended they flew overseas to attend the show’s wrap party JoJo, who dumped them shortly after.
“I’m filming this in a complete state of shock,” Kath disclaimed before addressing the breakup, captioning the post: “Egg on me, I guess.”
“After two weeks of sitting back watching certain things unfold and not being able to get any clarity from the person that it involves… I was dumped at the after-party,” Kath said. “I was told that there are confused feelings there — do with that what you will — and that they had realised in the house that I wasn’t the person that they wanted to spend the foreseeable future with.”

Since breaking the news, Kath has unfollowed JoJo on Instagram, but JoJo still remains following Kath.
In an interview on on ITV’s This Morning on April 28 (US time), the former Dance Moms star said of the split: “I’ll be honest, that was not a plan … That was not an intention, that was not supposed to happen like that.”
Why Did JoJo & Kath Breakup?
It’s hard to say exactly what happened between Jojo and Kath.
In the ITV interview, JoJo said: “Initially, I was told that the wrap party was something they didn’t want to attend and then about an hour into the wrap party they decided they wanted to. And so I was genuinely just going to have a conversation before and then it just led to another.”
Social media users have speculated that the bond between JoJo and fellow housemate, Chris Hughes, could have played a part. The two grew particularly close as the show progressed, having deep conversations, constant cuddles, and snuggling in the same bed.
Even the other CBBUK housemates noted their connection. A few episode from the finale, Danny Beard chimed in after seeing the two getting flirty in the hot tub, telling the pair to “f**K or stop,” suggesting that their “friendship” was starting to appear quite blurry.
Are JoJo Siwa And Chris Hughes Together?
Chris appeared alongside JoJo on ITV and the pair said that while they are “soul mates” it’s strictly “platonic.”
