Austin Butler and Kaia Gerber have broken up after three years of dating, according to a new report.
Following months of speculation the pair had parted ways (more on that below), TMZ reported on January 8 that their relationship came to an end late last year. Sources told the outlet there’s no bad blood between Kaia and Austin, and that their romance had simply run its course.
The pair started dating in late 2021 and made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2022 Met Gala (naturally).
Breakup rumours have been swirling for a few months now, after a photograph of Kaia at a party with Saturday Night Live cast member, Marcello Hernandez (aka Domingo, from *that* Ariana Grande sketch) started doing the rounds online in September. However, Kaia and Austin were then spotted together at a Gracie Abrams concert on October 5. According to Elle, this is the last time they were photographed together publicly.
Then, earlier this month photos surfaced of Kaia on holiday with her family in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Austin was notably absent.

Kaia and Austin were surrounded by relatively consistent engagement speculation throughout the course of their three-year relationship.
However, rumours he’d put a rock on her finger were baseless. Neither party ever commented on them and insiders denied the reports several times.

Given news of his split from Kaia just broke, there has been no word as to whether Austin is back in the dating pool.
Kaia was only Austin’s second public, long-term partner. He struck up a relationship with the model after his split from Vanessa Hudgens, who he dated for a decade.

Similarly, Kaia is not known to be dating anyone at the moment.
Prior to Austin, she was linked to Pete Davidson and briefly dated Australian actor Jacob Elordi.
