It wouldn’t be a Grammy Awards red carpet without a little drama!
Spectators were surprised on Sunday evening (local time) when controversial rapper, Kanye West and his wife, Bianca Censori arrived at Crypto.com arena for the prestigious music event—his first Grammys appearance in nearly 10 years. The couple’s appearance—which followed two days of feverish social media activity by the controversial rapper—was not without controversy, however.
Rumours spread across the internet like wildfire that the pair were booted from the ceremony, after Page Six ran a report claiming that the couple “were escorted out of the 2025 Grammys.”
However… the situation may not be quite as inflamed as it seems.
Were Kanye West & Bianca Censori Kicked Out of the Grammys?
Page Six reported on the evening of the Grammys that Kanye West and Bianca Censori were “escorted out” of the awards ceremony.
The outlet claims to have been told by an insider that the pair’s alleged removal was due to “the crazy outfit moment they pulled on the carpet,” which Page Six was allegedly told, “was an attempt to replicate the album cover of [Kanye’s album] ‘Vultures.’”
The “outfit moment” in question refers to Bianca’s sheer dress, through which her nipples were visible.
Per Pedestrian TV, an earlier version of the Page Six article reportedly also referenced an Instagram post made by Entertainment Tonight, which claimed that the couple showed up to the red carpet, “uninvited with an entourage of about five people and were escorted out”. Entertainment Tonight has seemingly since deleted that post, and Page Six appears to have removed any mention of it from their article. Another insider reportedly told the Daily Mail that the couple were “asked to leave shortly after their arrival.”
However, Variety has refuted reports that the couple were asked to leave at all. One source “close to the Grammys” disputed the rumour, telling the outlet it was “not true” and Kanye simply “walked the carpet, got in his car and left.”
TMZ has also reported that the claims the couple were asked to leave were false. “We’re told he walked the red carpet, got in his car of his own volition and then left … police and Grammys security never got involved,” the outlet reported following the event.
While the truth of what happened is not clear, there’s no denying the couple made a statement with their brief appearance.
