It’s a great day to be a Lana Del Rey fan!
The singer-songwriter took to Instagram this morning (Australian time) to make a few major announcements—including that new music is on the way!
Lana revealed that her next project, titled The Right Person Will Stay, is due to drop next year. While she didn’t explicitly confirm it was an album, she wrote on Instagram that she will release 13 tracks that she has written with Jack Antonoff, Drew Erickson, and someone called “Luke” (who Pitchfork notes could potentially be the Australian musician Luke Howard).
It comes after she teased a country album called Lasso earlier this year, which was supposedly due to arrive in September. However, she popped a pin in that and later explained, “I don’t want to turn it into something that’s half cooked, even if it’s super stripped-back. I want it to be what it was supposed to be.”
So, could The Right Person Will Stay be Lasso, reimagined? We don’t know for sure—what we *do* know is that new music is due to drop in early 2025, with Lana teasing that she would preview some of the tracks at California’s Stagecoach Festival in April.

The Right Person Will Stay Release Date
In her Instagram post announcing the project, Lana said The Right Person Will Stay will be released on May 21, 2025.
It comes two years after her last studio album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, which dropped in March 2023.
Is Lana Del Rey Going On Tour?
Not only is Lana releasing new music—she’s touring, too.
An hour before announcing The Right Person Would Stay, the singer-songwriter announced a 2025 stadium tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland. Lana is due to play shows in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales next June and July, which will follow her April performance at Stagecoach.
Will Lana Del Rey Tour Australia In 2025?
Given she’s announced new music *and* a British tour, the natural next question is whether Lana will come Down Under.
Lana last toured Australia in 2018 as part of her LA To The Moon world tour.
Unfortunately, the artist is yet to speak on another possible Antiopodean tour, so Aussie and New Zealander fans will just have to make do with the new music for now, at least.
