After 11 seasons of copious spouse stealing and endless task-induced drama, Married at First Sight Australia is back for 2025—and this next round of arranged marriages is set to be a real doozy. But, were you really expecting anything else?
Although the twelfth instalment of the internationally-adored hit series hasn’t aired on television just yet, that certainly hasn’t stood in the way of some pretty juicy goss leaking from inside the experiment. Whilst shooting is currently underway, we have already gathered some very important intel on the couple chaos we should be expecting to see unfold early next year!
So—if you’re anything like us, and just can’t wait for this overflowing tea to be spilled, read on for everything we know so far about what’s going on inside the MAFS 2025 experiment!

The 'Experts' accidentally paired together two exes
A young couple, Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels, were actually former flames, having dated one another sometime before signing up for the show.
The cameras reportedly capture their reunion at the altar, but fortunately, the new bride and groom left their previous relationship on good terms. Appearing to shake off the unexpected circumstances relatively quickly, onlooking friends and family apparently found the situation quite humorous as well.
Do we think this was a coincidence? Probably not. But we look forward to observing the pair, and finding out whether or not sparks between these two will fly once more!
One cast member Is already married
According to the Daily Mail, brand-new bride, Morena Farina, departed the experiment series after discovering the less-than-ideal news that her new ‘husband’, Tony Mojanovski, was already married. Yikes.
The article explained that Tony was separated—but had not legally finalised his divorce. Want to know the real kicker? The muppet dropped the news on Farina once they were already on their honeymoon—not instantly after getting hitched. We don’t think there’s much hope for this pairing.
More couples remain together this season than in previous ones
Now, let’s not get too carried away. Yes, quite a few of the couples are believed to have survived the experiment, however, it wouldn’t be MAFS without a significant amount of relationships biting the dust.
Allegedly, six wedded individuals left the show during week one—a much higher amount than in previous seasons. Thus, Yahoo Lifestyle! reports the twelfth season boasts a “record-breaking” number of couples still together. An insider told the outlet, “Everyone thought this season was a lost cause but a surprising amount of couples have really pulled through and made it to the end of the experiment.”
