Married at First Sight, aka Australia’s most chaotic reality show, is set to return next year—but filming for the 2025 season has gotten off to a less than ideal start (total understatement).
Weeks after cast members started being leaked to the media, shit has reportedly hit the fan. Several reports from the Daily Mail claim that this will be the wildest season yet, with three couples having chosen to leave during the experiment’s very first commitment ceremony and—ready?—one groom literally fleeing the state.
The outlet reports that Gold Coast groom Eliot Donovan tapped out only hours after his wedding to bride Lauren Hall.
“Eliot was anything but impressed when he met Lauren. From that moment, it was downhill,” an insider spilled. “By the next morning, Eliot wanted out—no second thoughts, no hesitation. Everyone was shocked, asking, ‘WTF is going on?’. Eliot was nothing short of disrespectful, not just to Lauren but to the entire crew.”
This is more dramatic than the whole Ellie-Jonathan-Lauren love triangle from this year, if you ask us. Sounds like Lauren dodged a bullet…
However, the outlet adds that producers have been scrambling to find replacements for the cast members who tipped out. An insider spilled, “This is unheard of. We’re already down six people, and it’s only been two weeks. The pressure on the remaining cast is enormous, and it’s creating a lot of tension.”
Sounds like we’re in for a beefy (read: highly entertaining) season!
