Who Is Go- Jo?

Born and raised in Manjimup, WA, Go-Jo (real name Marty Zambotto) is a successful producer, singer, and songwriter who has gained a mass following for his unique genre-bending sound that melds elements of Guitar driven Pop, R&B, and Hip Hop.

He was raised in a small rural town off-grid, where he found his love for the arts and decided he wanted to pursue a career in music. In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald, Go-Jo shared that his parents were always supportive of his plan to aim for stardom. “I always thank them for this, that’s the way they brought us up, and they made me feel like there was no pressure with anything that I wanted to do. They just wanted to know that I have a smile, and it makes me happy.”

He has since gained over 1.4 million followers across social media (TikTok, YouTube and Instagram), and back in 2023, he earned the title of the ninth-most-streamed Australian artist in the world. He then later embarked on his first tour of Europe, the United States and South-East Asia.

How Long Has Go-Jo Been Making Music?

Go-Jo’s passion for music began at an early age, and his first ever first song, “Nobody Like You” was released on January 1, 2016. Since then, he came out with his first album, “GANGSTER,” which dropped a year later on September 29, 2017. The album was a catchy blend of pop, R&B, and hip-hop tunes.

After a few years of making music, now, Go-Jo has come out with his latest hit single, “Milkshake Man.” “It’s a song I hope inspires people to express themselves individually and wholeheartedly because the song, the lyrics, they’re creating an environment,” he explained in the same Sydney Morning Herald interview. The new track was co-written by Go-Jo himself in collaboration with the Australian pop band Sheppard.

Is Go- Jo Competing In Eurovision?

He sure is! Go-Jo will be the Australian representative entered in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, performing his new single, “Milkshake Man,” on the global stage. He told the Sydney Morning Herald: “I am very focused on just performing and going to the stage and just showing the world what Australia has, to make sure everyone knows Australia is a really fun place” he explained.
