There’s no shortage of reality TV stars on the 2025 season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia. Literally: there’s a Bachelor, Married at First Sight *and* a Love Island alum. But if any of the former dating show contestants have one fellow campmate to look out for, it’s reality TV royal, Reggie Bird.
Yep—the two-time Big Brother Australia winner is gunning for her third reality TV crown as she heads into the South African jungle.
As the 2025 season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia gets underway, we already have a hunch Reggie will be a quick fan favourite. Catch up on everything you need to know about her below.
Who Is Reggie Bird?
Reggie Bird won the hearts of the nation when she joined the cast of Big Brother‘s third season in 2003. The fish and chip shop manager from Tasmania went on to win the title, too.
Shortly after her win, Reggie found out she had a rare degenerative eye disease retinitis pigmentosa, which has left her with restricted eyesight.
She was later diagnosed with a rare genetic disease called Usher syndrome, which impacts one’s hearing and vision. The announced this diagnosis in 2022—the same year she returned to the Big Brother house and won that season, making her the first-ever Big Brother contestant to win twice.
Ahead of entering the jungle, she told Mamamia: “I’ve got no idea what they’re gonna do. I’m just gonna give it my all, like everyone else does. I’ve got no peripheral vision or night vision, so it might be a bit of an advantage for me. I will not been able to see sh*t.”
Reggie added, “I think they’re gonna allow me to have a torch to go to the toilet with at night because apparently the toilet is up a trek somewhere, and it’s a bit of a mission to get to, so I’m allowed to have a torch for that.”
