Australia, are you ready for a Femininominon? Fans of Chappell Roan have been hoping the star might tour Down Under in the near future, and she may just have hinted that planning is in motion.
Chappell last visited Australia in November 2023, gracing our shores for a handful of shows to promote her album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Accordingly, she wasn’t expected to return any time soon—despite her recent stratospheric rise. However, fans were pleasantly surprised by a comment she made at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (on the same red carpet where she told a photographer to STFU) that indicated she might be coming back for another run.
Is Chappell Roan Touring Australia In 2024?
During press interviews at the VMAs, Chappell caught up with local radio host, Smallzy.
When Smallzy passed on Australia compliments to her, Chappell said, “I know Australia loves me! I love Australia!”
He added, “We would love to see you, any plans in the diary?” Chappell responded, “Oh yes, darling, I’m gonna come! I’m coming, we’re planning.”
Sounds like things are almost HOT TO GO!
With that being said, Chappell is yet to *officially* announce any future Australian tour dates. She is currently booked and busy, with shows across Europe and North America running until the middle of October. While there is still time to announce Antipodean shows for the end of the year, it’s more likely that, if she is to come back to Aus, Chappell would do so in 2025.
Consider us on high alert for any updates.
Is Chappell Roan Working On a New Album?
Another hint that a tour may be on the cards is that Chappell is working on a new album.
In a recent Rolling Stone cover story, Chappell revealed that her sophomore record will be “super weird,” and feature a range of genres. She ahas also described April’s hit single, ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ as “the first song of the next chapter.”
Artists tend to tour to promote an album so fingers crossed we’ll be hearing some new bops IRL, ASAP.
