The seven-part series premiered earlier this year and followed the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders through the recent NFL season, all the way from the squad auditions to the final, It offered a peek behind the glossy, star-spangled curtain and was a hit upon its debut, with audiences around the world falling in love with the dancers’ strength and tenacity (and *that* famous routine), as well as the tough-love approach of director Kelli Finglass and choreographer Judy Trammell. It’s unsurprising then that Netflix has renewed it, with the streamer and DCC confirming the news on November 13 (in *the* most DCC way possible).

Will There Be Another Season of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Documentary?
Yes, it has been confirmed that America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will be back for another season.
The organisation announced the news on Xm writing: “start stretching and get your high kick ready because AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS: DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS is coming back to Netflix for season 2!!!”
The news was accompanied by a pom pom-filled promo video.

America's Sweethearts Season 2 Cast
The cast of American Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Season 2 is currently up in the air, and may or may not be dependant on who made the squad.
Netflix hasn’t confirmed whether it will feature any of the fan-favourite cheerleaders from Season 1 who have since left DCC, such as Victoria Kalina and Kelcey Wetterberg.
What we *do* know is that last season’s standout, rookie Reece Weaver has made the team once again. The likelihood is that she’ll be back—and she may be joined by some familiar faces.
Charly Barby and Kelly Villares, who were both cut during auditions in the last season, made the squad this year. Veteran Madeline Salter and Season 1 new face, Anna Kate Sundvold are also both back.
America's Sweethearts Season 2 Release Date
We know filming will be in process across the 2024-25 NFL season, which comes to an end in February 2025.
While we don’t have an exact release date for the show’s next season, we can expect it sometime after that!
