FKA Twigs is releasing her third studio album.
Two years after dropping her mixtape, CAPRISONGS, the boundary-breaking artist is back with another body of work. Twigs first announced her LP, which we now know is called Eusexua, back in January 2024 and has slowly drip-fed us info in the lead-up to its release.
Details around its sound remain scant, however, the artist has been setting the tone for her upcoming project through immersive art displays and raves. She has also dropped the record’s title track, which starts off in an eerie melody and builds into an energetic, pulsating beat, complete with Twigs’ striking vocals.

What Does Eusexua Mean?
A press release from Twigs explains that Eusexua is a state of being; a feeling of momentary transcendence evoked by art, music, sex and unity. Eusexua can be followed by a state of bliss and limitless possibilities.
“Also used to refer to: ‘The pinnacle of Human Experience’. Eusexua is the moment right before an orgasm. Eusexua is melding into one being with the perfect stranger you’re making out with. Eusexua is losing track of time while losing yourself on the dance floor. Eusexua is the rush of inspiration that accompanies the birth of an idea. Eusexua can be many things to many people,” it explains.
“It’s a nebulous concept, ever-evolving with those who experience it. But it is united through any moment in which we are fully embodying ourselves, present in the moment, disconnected from technology, synthesised with those around us.”
Eusexua is designed to enable individuals to be free through creative expression and human experiences and encourages listeners to indulge in artistic experimentalism—aka it’s the next cool girl album to know.

What Inspired Eusexua
FKA Twigs recently appeared on the Tonight Show to discuss the filming process of her new film, The Crow, alongside co-star Bill Skarsgård, with guest host RuPaul, filling in for Jimmy Fallon.
“[Prague] is stunning,” Twigs told RuPaaul, mentioning that she hadn’t visited the Czech capital before. “We [filmed] in the summer, it was beautiful and warm.” She added, “It’s a really amazing Gothic city. Lots of beautiful architecture and an amazing underground of techno music and warehouses.”
Twigs further stated “I’m obsessed with alternative cultures and subcultures, so to be somewhere brand new that I’d never been, that kind of amazing East Bloc techno warehouse raves, techno kids, I just couldn’t resist.”
“So the music [in Eusexua] is inspired by the techno rave scene in Prague?” RuPaul asked, to which Twigs confirmed, “Yes.”
All About Twigs' Eusexua Roll Out
Twigs began the Eusexua rollout with a rave on the eve of London Fashion Week, followed by a two-week art exhibition at Sotheby’s that opened on September 14.
The art exhibition titled ‘Eleven,’ was a performative art piece conceptualised by Twigs, featuring 11 rotating “movers,” including Twigs herself. It was described as “a physical and spiritual quest for self-healing.”
The aforementioned rave included beloved DJs and London creatives, who partied at The Cause alongside 1000 revellers. The theme was an “Unearthed nude expression upon scorched soil,” with guests draped in experimental textures and shapes bound to a world of “No judgement,” as Twigs exclaims.
Elaborating on Eusexua to Sotheby’s, Twigs added: “It’s that feeling of when you’ve been dancing all night and you lose seven hours to music… and you think, ‘oh my gosh, it’s eight in the morning and last time you looked it was one… A moment of pure clarity when everything moves out of the way, everything in your mind is completely blank, and your mind is elevated… that’s Eusexua.”
Eusexua Release Date
FKA Twigs’ next studio album is set to be released on January 24, 2025.
