The second part to an already extremely eventful season of Outlander is officially on the horizon, and we couldn’t be more ready to finally receive some answers to the cliffhangers part 1 left us flailing on.

Jamie and Claire Fraser will be returning to our screens this November, off the back of an uber-intense midseason finale. Now all eyes are on them as fans eagerly wait to see exactly how the beloved series sets up its eighth and final season.

On that note, scroll on for all the details we know about Outlander Season 7: Part 2 so far, including *exactly* when you’ll be able to watch.

When is Outlander Season 7: Part 2 Coming Out?

At more than double the amount of episodes than Season 6, the current season of Outlander has a whopping 16 episodes. These have aired in halves, with the first eight episodes hitting screens back in June 2023.

So it’s been quite the wait! The premiere of Outlander Season 7: Part 2 is due to arrive almost exactly 15 months after the mid-season finale. The series’ second instalment will drop on Friday, November 23.

Who Will Be In Part 2?

Outlander Season 7: Part 2 will highlight events featured in the seventh and eighth books of Diana Gabaldon’s series, An Echo in the Bone and Written in My Own Blood, which the show was based on.

Those two fan-favourite novels feature all the main characters, so it’s safe to assume that the following actors will be returning:

  • Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser)
  • Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser)
  • Richard Rankin (Roger Mackenzie)
  • Sophie Skelton (Brianna Mackenzie)
  • John Bell (Young Ian)

Some characters who formerly appeared in earlier seasons of the show have been confirmed for this season’s coming second part as well. The list includes Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek), Brian Fraser (Andrew Whipp), Dougal MacKenzie (Graham McTavish), Ian Murray (Steven Cree), Joan MacKimmie (Layla Burns) and Laoghaire Fraser (Nell Hudson).

What Will Happen In Outlander Season 7: Part 2?

*SPOILERS AHEAD*

The first half of Outlander season 7 left us with Jamie, Claire and Ian leaving the American Revolutionary War and finally journeying back to Scotland. Although we don’t know any exact details about the plot of part 2 yet, we were able to get a small glimpse of what’s to come for the Fraser family, as executive producer Maril Davis hinted to Digital Spy: “The second half is even more exciting—it’s like the second half does not give you time to breathe.”

“There are so many ups and downs for everyone and so many life moments. I can’t even put it into words – the second half is going to be even crazier than the first.”

Is There a Trailer?

Sure is—STARZ has released an official teaser trailer for the instalment that showcases some very goosebump-inducing footage of what it has in store.
