We’re going back to Cousin’s Beach for another summer.
Prime Video’s hit series, The Summer I Turned Pretty has been renewed for a third season—and just as well, because we have SO many questions left to be answered! We can assume that our favourite faces will be returning to screens, including Lola Tung (Belly), Christopher Briney (Conrad), Gavin Casalegno (Jeremiah), Sean Kaufman (Steven), Rain Spencer (Taylor) and Jackie Chung (Laurel—and it seems like this season is going to be even more dramatic than the last.
Since the series was confirmed last August, show creators have drip-fed us information about the next instalment (including its release date).

When Is The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 Coming Out?
Amazon Prime confirmed The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 was a-go in August 2023.
Vernon Sanders, head of television, Amazon and MGM Studios, said at the time that the studio, “has been delighted to see the passion with which fans have embraced” the show.
Prime confirmed in May 2024 that the show—which is currently filming—would be back on screens in mid-2025, during the American summer.
Is There a Time Jump In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3?
The Summer I Turned Pretty is based on the series of books of the same name by Jenny Han. It’s safe to assume that the show’s third season will follow Han’s third novel, We’ll Always Have Summer—which is set two years after book number two, It’s Not Summer Without You.
Accordingly, we can expect a likely two year time jump between seasons one and two of The Summer I Turned Pretty.
Who Will Belly End Up With In Season 3?
In Han’s third book, Belly is once again torn between the two Fisher brothers. However, in the text, she finally makes a decision.
The love triangle concludes at the trilogy’s end, with Belly picking Conrad—the pair even get married! The book version of Jeremiah is ultimately supportive of his brother and Belly’s relationship.
It remains to be seen whether Amazon will remain true to the plot of the book or change things up (hey Team Jer, there’s still hope!).
