If there is one thing you can count on Married at First Sight to deliver each week, it’s a dramatic dinner party. Like clockwork, the dinner party episodes dish out hot gossip, jaw-dropping betrayals and wine throwing chaos.
Each season, we’re glued to our screens, embodying the marriage experts, anticipating which brides and grooms will stick around to finish their meals, and who’s walking out. After the drama is done, We can’t help but ponder a few questions. Is this scripted? Who is in the kitchen and how do I get behind there for first hand updates about the couples? Is anybody actually eating? Can we eat there?
We hate to break it to you, but if you were trying to add this mystery location to your next night out, you might have to score an audition first.

Where Are the MAFS Dinner Parties Filmed?
Drum roll please…
For only three months of your time, participating in a televised social experiment, and possible embarrassing yourself in front of the nation, you too can go to a MAFS dinner party!
The weekly events occur at a perfectly staged warehouse venue in the inner-city suburb of Lilyfield in Sydney, NSW. *Glass shatters*
Now every time you see a cast member storm off, be sure to picture a looong walk, as the MAFS crew rent out this 1200sqm loft that provides a setting for the Commitment Ceremony, dinner party and pre-dinner drinks. The transformation of this industrial warehouse takes meticulous styling to create the perfect space for our favourite weekly chaos amidst an almost intimidatingly long dining table.
Unfortunately, the closest you’ll get to sitting at the MAFS dinner party is recreating your own, as the Lilyfield studio is a frequent location for reality television, rather than a real restaurant. It’s the perfect set-up for a somewhat controlled environment, ensuring producers are able to capture every drop of wine thrown from glasses, eye-rolls and whispers.
Do They Eat at MAFS Dinner Parties
If you were wondering if the MAFS cast gets to eat at the dinner parties, the answer is yes. They just have to wait until really late, no wonder they are always tightly wound.
So be sure to grab your own glass of wine and bowl of popcorn each Wednesday for your favourite weekly television fix.
