Are You ready? The final season of Netflix’s hit show is almost here and anticipation could not be higher.
The show’s fifth season picks up three years after we left off, following Joe and Kate’s move back to New York. Unfortunately (for them — perhaps not for our viewing pleasure), it doesn’t seem the fairytale isn’t going to last long.
After narrowly avoiding being charged for murder, Joe is now in the public eye and has been deemed the public’s “prince charming,” which means no more hiding or running away.
We sure are in for an interesting series finale, we reckon. Scroll on for everything we know about You Season 5 so far, including when and where to watch it.
What Is You Season 5 About?
As mentioned, You Season 5 will find Joe and Kate back in the Big Apple and in the public eye.
Showrunner Justin W. Lo told Tudum, “One of the most fun things about this season is the Prince Charming aspect, that Joe is actually famous; now that he is well known in New York, social media is on him. That’s something fun for us to explore.”
On the return to New York for Joe, he added, “We loved the idea of things coming full circle for him. We’re excited by the fact that Joe came home as such a different person than [who] we saw in Season 1. At the core of our final story for Joe is this dichotomy of the old and the new.”
Star Penn Badgely told Netflix, “There are many loose ends in Joe’s past” and has hinted that one of Joe’s previous victims could be coming back to haunt him in Season 5. Fans have started to speculate whether it could be Dr Nicky (John Stamos) from Season 1, or Ellie (Jenna Ortega) from Season 2, or one his many more victims from past seasons, however he has not yet revealed who it will be.

You Season 5 Cast
Netflix confirmed Penn Badgley and Charlotte Ritchie will reprise their roles for the series finale. They will be joined by newcomer Madeline Brewer, who plays Bronte, a playwright that gets a job at Joe’s bookstore, where they connect over literature and she sparks nostalgia in Joe for what his life used to look like.
We also have the introduction of Joe’s new brother-in-law, played by Griffin Matthews, who is set to bring a sense of empathy and authenticity to the family (shocker).
Anna Camp is also on board, playing double in twins Reagan and Maddie. Reagan is the CFO of Lockwood Corp and her sister is said to be a master manipulator, hiding behind a whimsical facade.
When Is You Being Released?
The final 10 episodes of You will all hit Netflix on April 24, marking the end of the series as we all say goodbye to Joe Goldberg, or Goodbye, You.
