If you’ve ever typed out a spicy scene in your Notes app or mentally drafted an entire novella during a particularly distracting hookup, it’s time to put those skills to use.
Cosmopolitan Australia is turning up the heat with Cheeky Chapters, our very first erotic fiction competition, and we’re looking for the hottest, smartest, original short-and-spicy stories in the country.
All submissions need to flirt with the theme “strangers after midnight” (we’ll let your imagination run wild with that) and there are a few rules (we know, boring — but necessary), which you can read here. But let’s focus on the juicy stuff: the winner will have their work published in Cosmopolitan Australia‘s August/September issue, and a group of runners-up will score a prize pack plus get their stories featured on cosmopolitan.com.au.
Entries open today and close on July 14, 2025 — so get writing, we know you’ve got something steamy up your sleeve.
