What do you get when one of the world’s hottest brands turns the spotlight on its most coveted accessory? The Coach Tabby Shop Pop-up, of course.

Fresh off a top-five placement in the Lyst Index’s Hottest Brands of Q1 2025, Coach is bringing a slice of its signature New York charm to Sydney. The brand’s beloved Tabby bag has been a cornerstone of its recent renaissance (using Lyst as a measuring stick, Coach has climbed from the twentieth to fourth-hottest brand on the ranking in less than a year, and the Tabby specifically was called out as the third-hottest product of Q2 2024), with long-time fans and new admirers alike expressing an affinity for the clean, cool design.

The Tabby’s popularity is unsurprising: there are several varieties of the shoulder bag, including sleek, simple styles; slouchy, artistic shapes; and fun, quilted options — all available in a range of colours, and customisable thanks to interchangeable strap and charm options.

From May 23 until June 1, a pop-up dedicated to the beloved bag will call Paddington its home.

The Coach Tabby Shop pop-up is a love letter to the silhouette, with sculptural renditions of the bag — including a some-350kg version guarding the entrance — placed artfully among a curation of pieces from Coach’s spring 2025 collection.

Alongside several styles of the bag (including the on-trend Chain Tabby and Twisted Tabby), the pop-up offers a collection of bag straps and charms, so you can customise your bag to reflect your personal style. A Coach craftsman will also be on-site at the Coach Create customisation station, where you’ll be able to personalise your bag with monograms, charms and embellishments.

Already own a Tabby? You can pop by the station with any Coach bag to have it customised — no need to buy a brand-new one (although if you do want another, we don’t blame you).

In addition to there being a photo booth and an on-site DJ (because, of course there is), the pop-up houses a coffee shop, where cult local bakery Tokyo Lamington puts a twist on their famous sweet treats. The shop will be serving up bespoke offerings such as a Cherry Pie, Chocolate Hazelnut Cookie, New York Cheesecake Lamington and Banana Split Lamington. Go for the Tabbys — stay for the treats!

The Coach Tabby Shop is open daily between 11am and 6pm, until June 1, 2025.

Find the pop-up at 410 Oxford Street, Paddington. Tickets are free and bookings are recommended — so ensure your entry now, here.
