By submitting your application form to here, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1.1 Entries must be submitted online via this form.
1.2. Participants must upload a Microsoft Word version of their short story, and answer key questions on the submission form.
1.3. By entering participants agree to the terms and conditions which are detailed here.
1.4. All entries must be received by the specified closing date. Late entries will not be considered.
2.1. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges appointed by Cosmopolitan Australia.
2.2. The judges will select a winner based on competition criteria.
2.3. The winner will be notified by email.
3.1. By entering the competition, participants grant Cosmopolitan Australia a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and publish any content submitted as part of their entry.
3.2. Participants affirm that their submissions are original and do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
4.1. Cosmopolitan Australia is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical failures, or unauthorised human intervention in the competition.
4.2. Cosmopolitan Australia shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from participation in the competition or the acceptance and use of the prize.
The winner will have their short story published in Cosmopolitan Australia Magazine and on cosmopolitan.com.au, and have their social media profile and winner announcement shared through Cosmopolitan Australia social and digital owned channels.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternatives.
The winner agrees to participate in promotional activities related to the competition, including but not limited to interviews, photo shoots, and public appearances.
The winner agrees to share the announcement about their win on their own social media channels, including a tag of Cosmopolitan Australia.
The winner agrees to represent Cosmopolitan Australia in a professional manner.
The winner grants Cosmopolitan Australia the right to use their name, and biographical information for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
Cosmopolitan Australia reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the competition at any time for any reason.
Any attempt to undermine the legitimate operation of the competition may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Cosmopolitan Australia reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.
Cosmopolitan Australia is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical failures, or unauthorised human intervention in the competition.
Cosmopolitan Australia shall not be liable for any damages or losses arising from participation in the competition or the acceptance and use of the prize.
