If you were tuned into pop culture socials over the weekend, you probably saw that the supermodel sisters shared a a statement with the Daily Mail, in which they announced that they have a 23-year-old half-sister on their father’s side, named Aydan Nix.

How Is Aydan Nix Related To The Hadids?
Aydan Nix is the 23-year-old daughter of Mohamed Hadid (Gigi and Bella’s dad) and Terri Hatfield Dull, making her the half sister of the top models.
In the statement made to the Daily Mail, both supermodels revealed that their father, Mohamed, had a “brief romance” with Terri, and Aydan was later born. This occurred after Mohamed and Yolanda Hadid divorced in 2001.
Who Is Aydan Nix?
In the same Daily Mail statement, Bella and Gigi shared that Aydan grew up in Florida, and was raised with “the man she lovingly knew as her father until his sudden passing when she was 19.” The went on to explain that Aydan took “a genetic test out of curiosity,” where she then found out that she had a “biological connection” to the Hadid family.
“We first connected in late 2023, and from that moment on, we’ve embraced Aydan with open arms. She’s spent time with all of us, including our dad, and we’ve cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family.” They continued, “as siblings, we’ve had many open and loving conversations — with Aydan included — about how to support and protect her.”
Does Aydan Nix Model?
Although we’re shocked that she hasn’t followed in her sisters runway-strutting footsteps, it appears she is going down a similar path, creatively. Aydan graduated with a BFA in Integrated Design from Parsons School of Design in May 2025, the same school that Bella began studying photography at in 2014.
As per her LinkedIn profile, Aydan majored in Fine and Studio Arts and took part in a summer study abroad program at Parsons Paris. She works across multiple creative fields, including editorial styling, branding, and cultural storytelling.
What Else Do We Know About Aydan?
Honestly, not much — and she wants to keep to that way.
Highlighted in their joint statement to Daily Mail, Gigi and Bella ruled out that Aydan and her family “value their privacy” and requested that others “honour her wish and right to her anonymity as she continues her life as a young woman in New York.”
