Who Is Isabel Machado?
Isabel Machado is an actor, too. She was born in Chicago but is now a resident New Yorker and has appeared in a bunch of local film, television, and stage productions.
Oh, and she’s also a really talented singer and a trained ballerina — so we’d actually call her a triple threat.
How Long Have Isabel Machado & Chris Briney Been Dating?
While Isabel and Chris have been keep their relationship relatively low-key (as we know), they make subtle appearances on each other’s Instagram grids—did someone say soft launch?
On June 24, 2022, Chris posted a carousel to commemorate their first anniversary, captioning, “A whole year!? I could never want anything else.”
In May of 2023, Chris also posted pics from their holiday to Grenada, an island in the West Indies.
He also occasionally opens up about his relationship in interviews. In July 2023, he spoke to People, saying,”When my girlfriend tells me I’m pretty, I think I feel pretty.”
Isabel also walked the red carpet with Chris at the premier of season one of The Summer I Turned Pretty — and just when we thought he couldn’t be the most perfect boyfriend, he carried Isabel’s heels later in the night (this was so real of her).

How Did Isabel Machado & Chris Briney Meet?
Isabel and Chris, who are both in their mid-twenties now, met at Pace University, where they studied the same degree.
Isabel graduated with a BFA in Acting for Film, Television, Voiceover, and Commercials in 2020.
In a video that circulated TikTok once upon a time, the couple were seen acting in a scene together during their time at uni, where they played a couple in the midst of a breakup — kinda random, we know. But don’t worry, it doesn’t look like they’ll be remaking this seen IRL anytime soon!
Speaking to People in October 2023, Chris said, “We were friends first, We went to college together and we lived together. We knew that we could do it.”
