Our Lorde has risen, and she is *officially* going on a global tour — eek!
With 13 countries already confirmed for the singer’s Ultrasound World Tour, there’s one question on every Aussie’s lips ATM: will she be stopping on our sandy shores?
After 11 years of patiently waiting for Lorde to tour once more, the star confirmed a run of shows was incoming with an Instagram Story posted on May 9. Lorde uploaded an elusive picture of an X-ray of a side profile with the words “Lorde Ultrasound World Tour” underneath.
This latest teaser, in conjunction with her recent on-stage performance with Charli XCX at Coachella 2025, PLUS her impromptu Washington Square Park musical sneak-peak a couple of weeks ago, has us thinking the hiatus could be over, and a Lorde summer may be on the horizon!
Below, we’ve detailed everything you need to know about Lorde’s World Tour.
Is Lorde Going On Tour?
You bet! The tour will support her newly announced album, Virgin — her first album since 2021! She announced the tour via Instagram, captioning her post:
“Ultrasound — I am going on tour in support of my new album, Virgin,” said Lorde in a caption on Instagram. “Very proud and excited to be bringing my most talented friends in support… Come see what’s under the skin.”
When Will Lorde's Album Come Out?
After already dropping a single from the album, “What Was That,” Lorde has confirmed that Virgin will be released on June 27, 2025!
Via a fan email sign-up, Lorde gave a snippet of what’s to be expected from her new album:
“The colour of the album is clear. Like bathwater, windows, ice, spit. Full transparency. The language is plain and unsentimental. The sounds are the same wherever possible. I was trying to see myself, all the way through. I was trying to make a document that reflected my femininity: raw, primal, innocent, elegant, openhearted, spiritual, masc.”
“I’m proud and scared of this album. There’s nowhere to hide. I believe that putting the deepest parts of ourselves to music is what sets us free.”
Is Lorde Going to Tour Australia 2025?
It appears the answer to this is TBD. Despite the singer not yet announcing any Australian or New Zealand shows for her “world” tour (emphasis on the “world” part), we have faith that — as a Kiwi herself — she will come through with the Australasia announcement at a later date.
How To Get Lorde Tour Tickets
Okay, team, tickets for Lorde’s US, UK and Europe tour legs will go on sale on May 16, through Ticketmaster.
Tickets to the Ultrasound World Tour will also be available to purchase in the pre-sale round, which commences on May 14. These will be accessible via Ticketmaster as well.
